Benjamin Rubin, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who specialized in the treatment of emotional and interpersonal disturbances in childhood and adolescence. Dr. Rubin has advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, psychological assessment and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Rubin currently serves as a Licensed Psychologist at Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center, a New York State Office of Mental Health psychiatric facility for adolescents at risk of harm to self or others. Dr. Rubin received his Psy.D. in Combined School-Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Yeshiva University. He completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut where he worked with children, adolescents and families in an office setting and on a mobile crisis team. Dr. Rubin’s post-doctoral fellowships in psychoanalysis were at the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute as well as the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. Dr. Rubin has taught courses in Research Methods and Personality Assessment at Adelphi and Fordham University. He currently teaches and supervises psychology trainees and psychiatry fellows at Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center. Dr. Rubin is an active member of the American Psychological Association’s Division of Psychoanalysis. He serves as Chair of the Continuing Education Committee and sits on the Awards Committee and Early Career Committee.
